Human Rights Watch is sponsoring a special screening of Far From the Tree, a documentary directed by Rachel Dretzin based on Andrew Solomon’s award-winning 2012 work, Far from the Tree: Parents, Children and the Search for Identity, which examines the experiences of families in which parents and children are profoundly different from one another in a variety of ways.

Following the screening, Andrew Solomon will join HRW’s Director of the LGBT division, Graeme Reid and HRW’s Director of the Disability Rights Division, Shantha Rau Barriga for a discussion and Q&A.

Purchasers of a Book Partner ticket will have the opportunity to meet with Andrew Solomon, hear his insights in writing the book prior to the screening. This ticket also includes a copy of Far from the Tree sent to your home before the event. Please note that books will only be shipped to individuals with a UK postal address.
