Welcome to AndrewSolomon.com, a website and mobile site created by Difference Unites Us, Inc. (a New York corporation) (“We,” “Us”) which lives at AndrewSolomon.com (the “Site”). We respect and protect the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy applies to any information that is collected while you are on the Site. Our goal with this policy is to be transparent about the information we collect, how we use it, and how it is shared.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

1. We collect limited information when you browse the site

We mostly use this information to diagnose issues with the site.
2. We collect information using cookies

By entering your email address into the box and clicking “Subscribe,” you consent to the addition of your address to our newsletter mailing list, and to the occasional missive. An unsubscribe link is included in every newsletter. We offer you the option to provide your first and/or last name, which we only use to personalize the message; you do not need to identify yourself or use your real name. We do not use your email for any other purpose than to send the Newsletter. You will remain on this list until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time. We partner with MailChimp to provide email list services. Their privacy policy can be found here. We do not share our mailing list with anyone.
4. We collect information when you communicate with us via the Contact page or email
If you send email to Andrew Solomon using the form at https://andrewsolomon.com/contact-andrew-solomon, or directly, we will retain your email address or mailing address and correspondence so that we may respond to your inquiry. We retain this information indefinitely so that we have a history of our past communications.
The Contact form sends your name, email address, and message directly to Andrew Solomon, who will not share any personal information with anyone – not even with MailChimp. If you want to write to Andrew AND be added to our Newsletter list, please use both forms.
WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH?
It is our policy not to share or sell your personally identifiable information with any third party. We may, however, share information under the following circumstances:

Difference Unites Us, Inc. is a New York-based company. All personal information we collect from our international users is processed according to the laws of the State of New York, United States.

Pursuant to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, the Site is not intended for users under the age of 13. Nobody under 13 may use any part of the Site that requires the submission of personally identifiable information, like email or name. Any newsletter subscription submitted by a person under 13 will, if we learn of it, be deleted.
