PEN: The Freedom to Write

At the next PEN America’s Authors’ Evening, Golden Globe-winning actress and mental health activist Glenn Close and novelist Meg Wolitzer will discuss Wolitzer’s book The Wife, now a major motion picture starring Close that tells the story of a woman forced to confront the sacrifices she’s made in order to achieve the life she thought she wanted. The event will be hosted by John Habich and Andrew Solomon.

The PEN America Authors’ Evenings are nights of literary dinners in private homes and intimate settings. Proceeds support PEN America’s programming to secure the liberty of persecuted and imprisoned writers around the world, to defend freedom of expression, and to promote literature and international cultural exchange. Tickets are considered a 100% tax-deductible donation to PEN America and are available on a limited basis. To purchase tickets and reserve seats, please visit the PEN America website.
