“Far From the Tree” Screening & Q&A, San Diego Jewish Film Festival, San Diego, California

The documentary, Far from the Tree, directed by Rachel Dretzin and based on Andrew Solomon’s award-winning book, will be screened as part of the 29th Annual San Diego International Jewish Film Festival, which runs from February 7-17, 2019. The first screening is scheduled for Sunday, February 10, 2019, 4:00pm, at Edwards San Marcos Stadium Theatres; two more screenings are scheduled for Thursday, February 14, at 5:00pm, and Sunday, February 17, at 4:00pm, at Reading Cinemas Town Square. All three screenings will be followed by a talk and Q&A session with Joseph A. Stramondo, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at San Diego State University, and Leah Smith of the Center for Disability Rights, both of whom are featured in the film.
